How Change Happens
Change has more to do with thoughts and feelings than with our actions. Change is about connecting our heads to our hearts. The best of you shines through as you increase your energy through the positive feelings that develop as you tap into your present and past strengths and successes to realize that you already have what it takes to succeed … you have had those ruby slippers all along!
As your coach, I will guide you to discover goals and strategies based on values you live by in order to bring about the healthy lifestyle you desire. I assist and support you through the bumps along the way and celebrate your successes as well. With trying new behaviors and learning come mistakes. We grow when we learn from our mistakes. The more we repeat new behaviors, the fewer mistakes we make. New behaviors become refined and eventually automatic.
It requires effort to unlearn those old habits as they are so ingrained. Yet the more times we do new behaviors, the more ingrained the new behaviors become and eventually the new behaviors replace the old habits. It takes 21 days, sometimes more, and lots of practice to form a new habit therefore if you do something every day that moves you toward your vision, just one step forward each day, progress will be made. With ongoing accountability, support, and coach expertise, you will start living your vision and accomplish 70-80% of your stated three-month goals. By the end of a year you will celebrate a changed mindset and the behaviors you desire.
